The Massey Ferguson brand has a long established association with agriculture and now in modern times it features on tractors, harvesting machinery, tillage implements, quad bikes, municipal and garden machinery. The company name was first coined in 1958 from a shortening of Massey-Harris-Ferguson, which had been formed in 1953 after the merger of the North American company Massey Harris with Harry Ferguson Ltd of England. Today Massey Ferguson is still a leading brand, and with constantly pushing the boundaries of technology, provide customers world wide a complete package of effiency, low running costs and long life expectancy with a focus on being kind to the enviroment.
Founded by Joseph Cyril Bamford in 1945 the company which carries his initials, JCB, is one of the worlds leading construction and agricultural suppliers. Reguarded as one of the finest engineering factories in Europe the company that began as a ‘one man band’ now employs over 5000 people and produces over 180 different models in 150 countries over 4 different continents.
Construction
The Neuson Kramer group as it exists today can be traced back to Neuson Hydraulik Gmbh which was established in 1981. The overwhelming success of the first mini excavators made by Neuson Hydraulik led to the establishment of NEUSON Baumaschinen GmbH in 1990. In the following years, new products were continuously developed and successfully introduced into international markets.
Barford was created in 1933 following the merger of Aveling, Porter and Perkins. This gave birth to a powerful force in precision engineering and, diversifying to meet the needs of the growing market for motor powered construction equipment, Barford introduced the UK to it’s first site dumper in 1936.
Groundcare


Kubota - Founded in 1890 the Kubota Corporation of Japan has become a world leader in the development of the modern internal combustion engine, agricultural and groundcare machinery. Kubota is now the world’s biggest producer of diesel engines with an engine being manufactured every 20 seconds, 24 hours a day, along with a wide range of products to suit many operations in groundcare, agriculture and construction.
Toro - The company began as Toro Motor Co., an engine supplier for Bull Tractor Co., and survived the years of World War I by building steam engines. Toro changed its name to Toro Manufacturing Co. and refocusing on ground maintenance equipment. Toro created the first mechanical golf course maintenance equipment by mounting five lawn mowers behind a Toro tractor to mow fairways. As the company expanded further, it established a network of distributors that still exists today. Throughout the 1900s, Toro developed innovative products to serve homeowners and professionals alike, a growth that continues in the new millennium.
