END OF AN ERA…PLANS AFOOT!January 17, 2012
If you’ve been driving past our Bishopton Depot on Greenock Road over the last couple of months wondering what on earth is going on, we’d like to dispel the rumour that yet another Tesco is springing up. Behind the scene of mass destruction, there is actually a master plan in the making which will emerge as Hamilton Brothers massively expanded agricultural workshop and office facilities which will finally take us into the 21st century.
“Since relocating to Bishopton from our original premises in Paisley in 1983, our 17 agricultural and groundcare technicians have been working out of a 6,000sq ft workshop, and quite simply, we’ve outgrown it,” says Company boss Eric Gardiner. “ This long overdue expansion programme is a win, win for both our customers and staff. It will enable us to employ an additional three specialist technicians, undoubtedly maximise efficiency and machinery repair turnaround time, improve Health & Safety procedures and boost staff morale.”
Phase 1 which involved a considerable feat of engineering is now complete. The concourse has been lowered and concreted and the shed which will house our new 5,000sq ft agricultural workshop on the ground level has also been erected. Phase 2 which incorporates general office facilities for administrative staff on the upper floor, a dedicated customer training room and extended Parts Department is currently underway. The final stage, Phase 3 will see a complete refurbishment of our existing facilities and if all goes according to plan the new depot will be fully functioning by May this year.
